Submission Information

Any series or movie can be nominated if released on a broadcast network, cable, or streaming platform between June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2026. In order to be eligible, at least 50% or more of the total number of episodes from the current season must premiere on or before May 31, 2026.

There is a flat fee of $300 per series submitted. The submission fee includes the series AND all corresponding categories including actor, actress, supporting actors, supporting actresses, cast ensemble, writing, and directing.

We strongly encourage all networks to email a PDF, Word Document, or Excel Spreadsheet that include all of the eligible writing, directing, and acting entrants to Awards@TheAstras.com.

Nomination Process and # of Nominations:

A nominating committee will determine the nominees for the 2026 Astra TV Awards.

The committee will consist of critics, entertainment journalists, filmmakers, influencers, producers, and other industry professionals.

Each category may include up to ten nominated series, as selected by the nominating committee. Similarly, up to ten individual performances may be nominated within each of the acting categories.

To ensure equal representation across all distribution platforms—Broadcast, Cable, and Streaming—the nominating committee will select nominees as follows: three from Broadcast networks, three from Cable, and four from Streaming in each category.

This allocation model will also apply to the acting, directing, and writing categories.

Streaming Platform Submission Information:

To submit as a series, movie, or individual, it must be original programming exclusive to the streaming platform.

For example, shows that air on FOX but are available the next day on Hulu do not qualify as streaming titles. Current streaming platforms that are eligible for nominations (more to be added as original/exclusive content is created on other streaming platforms):

Submission Checklist:

  • General information about the submission (title, season and platform)

  • Provide 40 digital links to access the submission or 40 codes to an FYC app or website.

  • If individual links are not available, please upload an episode from the series and share it to awards@theastras.com using WeTransfer, Dropbox, or Google Drive. The file will be downloaded and shared with the nominating committee members.

  • Video Quality: 720p, 1080p, or 4K.

  • Video Format: MP4 or MOV.

  • Audio Codec: Stereo or 5.1 Sound.

  • Closed Captioning is preferred.
